Blueberry Tea and Stationery

Tonight was the first meeting of our letter writing group. My sisters and my mother attended. We sipped blueberry tea and wrote cards and letters. It turned out everyone had bought different cards and stationery, and without knowing, all of us had bought different postage stamps!

My sister Kathy brought fountain pens for each of us to use. I liked how it made my writing look while using it, so will definitely get one.  We'll meet twice a month and I'm hoping next month to make our own stationery!  We all had a few different ideas so it'll be fun to see how this progresses!

  2. The evening had a Victorian feeling. Made me want to wear a long dress with ruffles :) I will be on the lookout for a lovely teacup and saucer now for our next meeting.

  5. I love this idea. I should bring up this idea with a homeschool group I belong to. I really need to do something like this and teach my 2 younger girls; maybe write letters to missionaries. :) I'm so glad you visited my blog. Can you follow mine? :)

  7. I'm impressed that you guys can write letters and visit at the same time. :) Our letter writing group found that we can't talk and concentrate on our letter writing so now we work on other projects at our meetings (making envelopes & collage postcards, stationery swaps, etc.) and write letters at home.

  8. I love your sweet idea of having a letter - writing social! I have heard of several who do these and I am so inspired! When I do finally have one I will have to report back to you how it went!
