Meet my little garden friend




This little red admiral ( I think) butterfly has been in our garden for awhile now. She's always on the same group of flowers, and occasionally lands on me. Her wings are pretty beat up but she still gets around. I look for her whenever I go out. She doesn't even fly away if I put my hand next to her! She may not be the prettiest butterfly in my garden but she's pretty special to me!

    Oh how I love to sit and watch my garden visitors and when I get one as pretty as yours I just L-O-V-E to watch until they fly away. How lucky for you to have her visit often.
    I've not been able to enjoy my garden much this year. We've had heat wave after heat wave and back a month or so ago, we were hit with a very bad hail storm that took many of my plants with it. (Have images of the damage to house and of the hail on my blog if you're interested.)
    Wendy, I've only had the chance to read a few posts but it seems like the mid-west has a Ming in its midst. I'll be back!
