My finished chicken!

I finished my chicken! Each time I do one I learn something new, whether its a new stitch ,or how to dye lace. Everyone is so helpful! Thank you all.

Crazy Quilting and Lace

I think I am truly addicted to crazy quilting! This is a project I'm working on for my sister . I couldn't get any lace that was dark enough so I dyed it following the directions out of a book. I love how it turned out! I just love the colors in this so I'll have to make myself a pillow or something out of the left over fabric! See I don't even finish one project and my mind is going onto the next!! ( My sisters and friends say I talk the same way...) Have a great day ..week...month

Butterfly in our garden

I was so thrilled to see this butterfly in our garden! Isn't it beautiful! We have a book on butterflies so I've been trying to identify them when I see them. I think this one is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Oh how I wish I had more time in my garden.

We did it!

Yesterday Raja and I went for the Canine Good Citizen Test and she passed!!!! I was so excited!!! This week we are going to check out the Rally class and see if it's something we'd like to do.

Camping

We just got back from the most relaxing and enjoyable camping trip! I wasn't sure how it would go or if Claire would like it . She not only liked it she LOVED it! Once she ate breakfast she was off and running , daddy and her took morning hikes which left me to peace,quiet, coffee, and nature for about an half hour every morning. The weather was great and the night stars were awesome... we even saw the Milky Way... I haven't seen that in years! Hearing owls at night ( and Raccoons getting into my sisters box of cereal , she heard them and saved her cereal!) and all kinds of birds in the morning. Nature trails that we saw deer, toads, frogs, plants,and a snake to Claire's delight!! It was great and I did remember my camera so I will have lots of pictures to scrapbook. I feel refreshed and recharged. Have a great summer everyone!

Raja Graduated!

Tonight Raja graduated from obedience class, she did wonderful and I was very proud of her. I really enjoy working with her. I'm going to sit in on a Rally-O class, and an Agility class and see which one I think we could enjoy together. When she is older and a little more settled I think I'd like to use her as a therapy dog. I wish I had some pictures of tonight but once again forgot camera ( so did my sister....runs in the family!) I didn't take my purse ( no where to put it). I'll take some new ones of her and post them soon. Has anyone done Rally or Agility with their dogs and if so what was it like and how hard to learn? Everyone have a great weekend!

Claire getting ready for dance class!

Claire was soo excited to go to dance class and just loved her new leotard and tights and Silky Shoes!!!

She's come a long way, she didn't start walking until she was 3 and now she's dancing!
